Hard at work in the summertime

That’s right: your favorite bestselling authors are not just lying around doing nothing this summer. Well, we may be lying down, but that’s research and planning and plotting and character development. Honest.

Let’s continue our series where members reveal the next books you can look forward to reading.

Roger Eschbacher

Bestselling YA author Roger Eschbacher

I have two works in progress.

First, I’m expanding my novelette, Undrastormur, into a full middle-grade, Viking fantasy adventure novel. I’m almost finished and plan on publishing it before the end of 2024.

Undrastormur follows Eirik, a young Viking galdrakarl (wizard), who joins his powerful galdrakarl grandfather on a series of epic adventures through the nine worlds of Norse mythology.

Second, I just finished a detailed outline for Ghost Star 3 (working title), the third book in my popular Ghost Star Adventures series. The plan is to start on it after I finish Undrastormur, possibly as a 2024 NaNoWriMo project. The Ghost Star Adventures series is a wild, action-packed YA space opera with Galen Bray, the young captain of the Ghost Star, a notorious smuggling vessel, at its heart. I expect to publish Ghost Star 3 by summer of 2025.

DelSheree Gladden

Author DelSheree Gladden

I’m actually working on something for once!

It’s a new mystery series with multiple dimensions, where an investigator crosses dimensions to investigate a young girl who is believe to be disrupting the flow of karma between the dimensions, which could potentially damage both worlds.
